THE CAST

David Lister 3rd technician - The only live human of the ship. Depressingly he is the only man alive in the universe. This causes worries considering he is a lazy, slobbish and 1st class space bum. Lister carried a deep affection for officer Kochanski. She is included in his ultimate goal of buying a farm on flooded planet Fiji her role would to be his wife. The rest of his plan is to have sheep, cows and breed horses. The reason he becomes the only living human being in existence was due to a radiation leak on the ship which he misses. more about that in the basic plot section. Actor : Craig Charles

Arnold Judas Rimmer 2nd technician - After the radiation leak he becomes a hologram to keep the alive Lister saine but enough about that Rimmer is a self centered smug, over ambitious, obnoxious git. Enough said. His hobby's include getting on Lister's tits insulting Holly an the Cat and err being a coward. As you can tell he is the hated member of the crew because err he is a total pratt. Cat - A humanoid evolved from a household cat called Frankenstein owned by Lister. As you can tell cat like personalities have been converted to a humanoid. Selfish and vain. He is most hated by Rimmer but loved by Lister. Its complicated but Lister turns out to be the Cat's God. Actor : Danny-John-Jules

Kryten - A selfless droid bent only on serving Lister and his crew mates. A truly pathetic creation that started his service live on space shuttle NOVA5. The NOVA5 crashed and the RED DWARF crew rescued the droid and re-built him after he crashed Listers space buggy. Kryten started to break his programming. At this point he turns demented. A truly funny character. Actor : Robert Llewellyn

Holly - The ship computer who is sarcastic and reserves the right to jump about from monitor to monitor at his/her will. The first incarnation of Holly is played by a male actor and this one I believe to be the best. After the first 2 series the story line wrote in a female actor and used the excuse that he had changed his face so he looked like a woman. Actor / Actress : Norman Lovet, Hattie Hayridge

Officer Kristine Kochanski - The snobby horse owning spoilt public school rich girl. Appears only in series 7 and 8 as one of the crew. She finds life with the guys a misery and personal hell but has an affection for Lister. Actress : Chloe Annett

Scutters - The ship maintinance robots. Have a strange likeing to wild west films and John Wayne. Have a hate for Rimmer and can do exellent twos up
